1 lb Beretta Farms stewing beef
2 tbsp Beretta Beef Tallow
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 medium potatoes, diced
3 carrots, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
4 cups beef broth
1 cup red wine (optional)
2 bay leaves
1 tsp thyme and rosemary
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
1. Brown the Beef
Heat Beef Tallow in a large pot. Brown the stewing beef in batches, then set aside.
2. Sauté Veggies
In the same pot, sauté onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes.
3. Simmer
Add the beef back with potatoes, carrots, celery, broth, wine, bay leaves, thyme, and rosemary. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low for 1.5-2 hours, until beef is tender.
5. Serve
Remove bay leaves and garnish with parsley.
I always like to serve stew with Toasted and buttered Sourdough bread😊
