Organic Marinated Sirloin Roast
The Sirloin roast is a classic oven roast that marries together tenderness and value, one of the more tender beef roasts available without the price point of a rib eye or tenderloin. With our marinaded sirloin, we have done a lot of the work for you already, our garlic and herb marinade packs a punch of flavour without over powering the natural beef taste.
Once thawed, allow roast to rest out of the fridge for 30-60 minutes prior to cooking. Once you are ready to roast, pre heat oven to 425 degrees celcius and season the roast generously with salt and pepper on all sides. Put the roast on a rack over a roasting pan, or make your own rack out of onions, carrots or any other hearty vegetable to keep it from touching the bottom of your pan. Roast at 425 for 20 minutes minutes then drop the oven temperature to 375 and continue cooking for 40-60 minutes for the 1.5-2kg roast and 60-80 minutes for the 2-2.5kg roast or to preferred doneness. For best results, we always recommend using a meat thermometer. After roasting, remove from oven and transfer to a cutting board, cover the roast in aluminum foil and let rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
